Blow your horn

Back to Germany for T-Online results: 295k net DSL adds in Q1, just 20k less than what the company added in Q4. The company claims that all 3.5m DSL users are VoIP-ed up at this point, but has provided no active user numbers. Unlike the French broadband players, the Germans so far seem to have an aversion to releasing user numbers on VoIP. Neither United Internet nor Freenet have ever released any user numbers, though with 1.6m DSL subs between them, I'd be amazed if they were under 300k collectively.

UPDATE: An uber-value reader from Germany points me to this release from mid-April. Sipgate claimed 100k subs at the time, and targets 250 - 300k by year-end.
