The most dilapidated Virgin Media box ever

Strong claim that, and I really wouldn't bet on it.

Might explain some of why the upstream sucks so much though with such quality plant maintenance.

Ignition, I'm beginning to think you may have some issues with Virgin Media. ;-) I have posted a few photos of blatantly open boxes before, with no reaction, but today I got an email from someone at Virgin Media asking for the location. As with a 50p national levy on broadband, one has to appreciate the incremental steps forward for what they are...

He's a disgruntled ex-employee with a chip on his shoulder as he couldn't run a network for toffee!

Nah I treat BT the same way as well :)

VM's local engineers are pretty heavily under pressure unfortunately and are too busy fire fighting to work on maintenance, have been for a while so one can't say it's too surprising.

Good that they are trying to resolve the issue though and positive. They have seemed more responsive as a whole, here's hoping they carry it through and it's not just 'PR' value.

I'm not too upset with them at the moment, my cable is actually working, however the reliability of my 50Mbit is somewhat 'upsetting' :(
