Monument to folly

This is a familiar site to Londoners - the abandoned and decaying InterPhone call boxes dotted around London, perhaps one of the poorer examples of facilities based competition from the 1990s. I have recently seen some guerilla Wi-Fi folks suggesting that these could be used as sites for open nodes. This brings a new meaning to the concept of co-location. A gallery of other forlorn and unloved call boxes is here.
